Tim Hortons Rewards makes it easier to turn your regular U.S. Tim Hortons visits into points and free favorites. Members earn 10 Tims Rewards Points for every $1.00 USD spent at participating Tim Hortons restaurants, before applicable taxes, fees and discounts. You can then save those points for different reward levels, from baked goods and coffee to specialty drinks and food.

The program also comes with member-only offers, faster ordering through the app, a birthday treat and occasional games or promotions. Here’s how Tims Rewards works, how points are earned, and how many points you need for each reward level.
Perks of Being a Tims Rewards Member
Joining Tims Rewards is about more than collecting points. The program combines point-based rewards with app features, special offers and extras that can make frequent Tim Hortons visits more convenient.
Rack Up Points. Get Rewarded.
Every eligible dollar spent earns 10 Tims Rewards Points. Keep collecting points from your purchases and use them toward the reward level you choose.
Score Exclusive Offers
Members can receive offers that are reserved for Tims Rewards participants. These deals can vary, so the app is worth checking regularly for the latest member offers.

Unlock Play
The program can also include games and promotional activities, such as Roll Up To Win. These offers and activities can change over time.
How to Get Rewarded
Getting started takes a few simple steps. Set up your account, connect it to your purchases, earn points and use them when you are ready.

How Tim Hortons Rewards Points Work in the USA
The major change to the U.S. Tims Rewards program is the move to a spending-based points system. Under the stated program terms, members earn 10 points for every $1.00 USD spent at a participating Tim Hortons restaurant in the United States.
Your eligible spend does not include applicable taxes, fees or discounts.
What Happens With Cents?
The program also has a specific rule for purchases that include a decimal amount. When the amount paid contains cents, points are rounded down to the nearest tenth when the cents fall between $0.01 and $0.04, or rounded up to the nearest tenth when they fall between $0.05 and $0.09.
That means the final points credited to your account can reflect the program’s decimal rounding rule rather than simply treating every purchase as a whole-dollar amount.
Important Notice: The Tims Rewards Program terms referenced in this update became effective April 12, 2023. Points apply at participating Tim Hortons restaurants in the United States and are subject to the applicable program terms.
Reward Levels
Tims Rewards lets you choose a reward level and save your points for the type of food or drink you want. You can change your reward preference, or continue saving your points for a later redemption.

The reward levels shown in the program materials are:
| Reward Level | Points |
|---|---|
| Baked Goods | 340 Points |
| Brewed Coffee & Tea | 440 Points |
| Classic Drinks | 750 Points |
| Classic Food | 950 Points |
| Specialty Drinks | 1,250 Points |
| Specialty Food | 1,450 Points |
Baked Goods — 340 Points
The 340-point level covers baked-goods choices such as Timbits, Classic Donut, Specialty Donut, Bagel and Hash Browns, among other options.
Brewed Coffee & Tea — 440 Points
At 440 points, you can redeem for choices in the Brewed Coffee & Tea category. This level is built around Tim Hortons’ brewed coffee and tea selections.
Classic Drinks — 750 Points
The 750-point level moves into classic drink choices, including examples such as Iced Coffee, French Vanilla, Iced Capp and other classic beverages.
Classic Food — 950 Points
Save 950 points for the Classic Food level. Choices shown with this reward category include items such as Timbits, Breakfast Sandwiches and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.
Specialty Drinks — 1,250 Points
The 1,250-point level covers specialty beverages. Examples shown include Refreshers, Timboosts, Cold Brew and Iced Latte options.
Specialty Food — 1,450 Points
The 1,450-point level is the highest reward level shown here. It includes specialty food choices such as Breakfast Sandwiches, Breakfast Wraps, Avocado Toast and Omelette Bites.
How to Use Your Tims Rewards Points
Choosing a reward is tied to your selected reward level. Rather than needing to spend your points as soon as you earn them, you can keep building your balance for a different redemption.
This gives you two ways to use the program: redeem at a lower point level when you are ready for a smaller treat, or keep saving toward a higher-level food or drink reward.
Your reward preference can also be changed. That gives you some flexibility when your usual order changes.
What Can You Get With Tims Rewards Points?
The reward categories cover a broad range of Tim Hortons menu choices in the United States. Lower levels focus on baked goods and brewed beverages, while higher levels extend into classic food and specialty drinks.
The 340-point Baked Goods level starts with items such as donuts, Timbits, bagels and hash browns. At 440 points, the Brewed Coffee & Tea category covers basic hot beverages. The higher levels then move through classic drinks and food before reaching specialty drinks at 1,250 points and specialty food at 1,450 points.
Because reward availability can depend on the participating restaurant and current program terms, check your account before redeeming.
Tims Rewards vs. Regular Tim Hortons Visits
You do not need to make a separate trip just to earn Rewards Points. Eligible spending at a participating U.S. Tim Hortons restaurant is what generates points.
That makes the value of the program particularly relevant to people who already buy coffee, breakfast or snacks at Tim Hortons. Your points accumulate from eligible purchases, and you decide when to turn that balance into a reward.
Tims Rewards in the USA is built around a straightforward spending-based system: 10 points for every eligible $1.00 spent. The six reward levels give you options ranging from baked goods and brewed coffee to specialty drinks and food, while member perks add offers, app ordering, birthday rewards and promotional extras. For regular Tim Hortons customers, the key thing to watch is your eligible spending and point balance so you can decide whether to redeem sooner or save for a higher reward.
